Babylon's Peak is a boutique private cellar, nestled on the slopes of the Paardeberg. The wine maker, Stephan Basson and his wife Inalize run a hands-on operation with pram in tow. Babylon's Peak is the granite thumb on the eastern slope of the Paardeberg, viewed from Kasteelberg.

SHIRAZ MOURVEDRE GRENACHE 2009 - 87% Shiraz, 8% Mourvedre, 5% Grenache. Intense spices and typical fynbos character with lots of white pepper and dark fruit leading to mocha and coffee flavours. Full palate with good length. Well balanced tannins and acid, with robust structure enabling this wine to mature for up to 10 years. R 90
